July Recap at CLC!!!

We are having a blast watching God do what God does best!!! Love on His people!!!
THE MESSAGES! Message series called FEAR FIGHTERS!!!! 2Timothy 1:7 God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Week 1 Lion Chasers
Fear can so many times paralyze and neutralize from the greatest moments in life that God wants to work out on our behalf!!! We saw how Benaiah in 2 Samuel went down on a snowy day and killed a lion!!! We must learn to see the fight over through keeping our eyes on the deliverer and standing our ground!!!
1John 4:18-19 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.

Week 2 Fear or Faith
Sometime what our 5 sense tell us can seem more real and easier to believe than the promises and word that God gives us. It is an all our fight to fight the GOOD fight of FAITH (1Tim 6:12) and not walk by what we see but by FAITH (2Cor 5:7)! Faith is the 6th sense that will set you free to enjoy all that was paid for at the cross and allows you to access it no matter what the other 5 senses say!!!!

Week 3 Fight for Your Family
Ps 127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord…Parents have to stand strong, persevere and take personal responsibility to stand strong in faith for their family and their children!!!
We had the honor of having the official Faith Man and Fear Man make an appearance front and center of the CLC stage in the Professional Wrestling Ring on stage!!! Yup…you heard correct. A real wrestling ring on stage!!!They literally fought each other during service and Faith Man won!!!!

Family Fun! The 4th of July Family Fun Day was a huge hit!
We had so much fun! We had an old fashion day of wacky games like:
• seed spiting contest• egg toss
• three legged race• bat race• watermelon eating contest


We also had a dunking booth where even Pastor James got dunked!!!
We meet a lot of new members and even the small children had so much fun in the mini swimming pools and sprinklers!
Softball brought out the competitors!!! The new back drop was a real nice addition.

Easter weekend at Champion Life Centre

Easter weekend at Champion Life Centre in one word…..AWESOME!!!!!!

It started with a Kids Festival and Easter Egg Hunt for the community and boy did the community show up! We were not sure what to expect and let’s just put it this way….next year we will have to quadruple the size of the festival and at least double the size of the hunt!!! Cars flooded in and families filled the CLC property.

At 5pm we heard the deep rumble of the helicopter coming over the church to the field carying Pastor James and the Easter Bunny!!! They circled over and then dropped eggs onto the field (not planned but some into the crowd as well)

When the flag was dropped about 1500 kids devoured the field and in about 48 seconds over 15,000 Easter eggs were picked!!!! It was truly an amazing site to see! A wave of children moving in unison leaving nothing behind!!We had three services and all three services were so filled with such an awesome, sweet presence of Jesus. Easter is an awesome time for churches around the world to unite and remind everyone of exactly what Jesus did on that cross and the restored relationship we have with His resurrection!!

Every part of the service pointed to the finished work of the cross! The intro was so overwhelming and most people were in awe of just how grand, alive and vibrant the cross could be portrayed! Hats off to the lighting, media and worship team who poured their hearts into a phenomenal worship experience!!!

Pastor James ministered to a full house a message entitled “A Win Win”. It was so awesome to see so many guests and united family units all hearing the fact that God is so madly in love with them and that its not about what they have done but what Jesus did! He shared personal stories of his father’s (Bishop Green) love for him, as well as his own love for his children (Brittney, Cameron and Carter). “If God is for us….WHO can be against us and WHAT can separate us from the love of God” were just a couple of passages he shared from and the atmosphere was so alive and full of God’s love and passion!!!!


We had our first official Traditional Service! Our chapel was full and we had our very own CLC choir sinG. They delivered the message of the gospel through every song. The atmosphere was so amazing and it was a great way to start the morning!!


Champion Life Centre Volunteers and Interns showed up in full force and filled the church with hearts ready to serve!! They were definitely the tangible physical expression of being Jesus to every person who walked onto our campus this weekend.

May we continue to point people to the cross and see lives touched, transformed and growing in the revelation of the love relationship God paid such a valuable price for! May we see Jesus revealed to hearts hungry to know Him and then making Him known!

WOW!!! 2010 started with a bang at CLC!!! We are now in full swing and have a lot of exciting things going on!

We are in the Positive Change Series and that is exactly what happens when your life intersects with Jesus!! Positive, life long change!!

Our heart at CLC is that we have doors wide open for all people who don’t know the Love God to have a loving, warm, inviting church they can come to and experience and find that amazing loving relationship with a God who so passionately loves them!!!

We want to make it so easy to invite a neighbor, friend, family member, coworker or even a stranger to CLC. One way we are doing that is by offering several great events on campus. These events get them in the door and then once they are here we believe they will experience the love of Jesus through our members, the message and the Spirit of God Himself. Who will you bring???

Listed below are several upcoming events and activities that you can attend as well as invite others to come to. We pray you will find amazing friendships, and ultimately a growing vibrant relationship with God!

SMALL GROUP KICK OFF: Jan 24th 6pm
Come Sunday evening at 6pm and we will help you find a group to fit you!
We will have bible study groups along with Financial Peace University, Marriage Enhancement, Bible Basics Class, Witnessing, and even a Work Out Boot Camp Group.

THE POWER TEAM: Jan 27-31st 7pm
The power team is a group of world class athletes who perform some of the greatest exhibitions of power, strength, speed, inspiration and motivation.

DANCE, DINNER(light) and DESSERT NIGHT: Feb 12th 7pm-10pm
All couples come celebrate Valentines weekend at CLC! Get dressed up, put your dancing shoes on and enjoy some food, dessert and tons of fun!!!

THE BIGGEST VOW RENEWAL: Valentines Day 10am
What a way to celebrate Valentines Day with your spouse! We will be giving all our married couples the opportunity to renew their vows during service!

GREAT WEEKEND AT CLC

What a Great Week at Champion Life Centre!!!

Christmas!!! What thoughts come to mind? Gifts? Santa? Family? Shopping? When it is all said and done we all know with all our hearts that Jesus is the center of Christmas. Jesus is Emanuel “God with Us”. There are so many ways that God shows his love in and threw us and this weekend we saw God all over the place at Champion Life Centre!!!!

SOCKS.UNDIES.SWEATSHIRTS
It started Sunday Morning when hundreds of CLC members gave so freely hundreds of socks, undies and sweatshirts to two of our local school districts. Spring and Klein ISD have many elementary age students in serious need of these items and we were able to meet so many children’s immediate need! We love and give because we were first loved and given to. We have received so much from our Loving God that it was out of amazing loving hearts that our members gave so freely to these children! Both representative from these school districts attended service on Sunday to receive this gift and both were so moved by the compassion and giving heart of our people…..which is the overflow of the love from our God!!

NINA GRACE ‘Your All I Need’ CD RELEASE
Sunday evening we had another display of God at work in our teen generation! We are experiencing a generation of teens at CLC rising up and moving in their God given callings! There are more than a dozen teens that are already doing ministry around the church weekly and in some cases daily! Sunday night we got to witness one of our teens, 15 year old Nina Grace DeLoache, move in such an awesome strong anointing and time of ministry through her first full album release. She not only sang songs she either wrote or co wrote but ministered in word so powerful. It was a testament of the work of God and His desire to use and move through this young, passionate, full of faith generation!! We had a lot of teens come to the release that were moved and ministered to who normally would not enter a church door. It is a glimpse of what is to come!

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
It is the plan and will of God that we as his children be wise, diligent and walk by faith in His provision and financial blessing. This Monday evening we had the graduation of our 13 week Financial Peace Class. During the 13 week course the class put $29,404 in Savings and $189,000 dept was paid off!!! This group also came together to donate $215 to our Care Ministry to Sponsor Children in need for Christmas. Once again we are able to tangibly see the blessing and hand of God on our people!!!

KLEIN COLLINS JAZZ ENSEMBLE
We also had the Klein Collins Jazz Ensemble perform in our sanctuary on Monday Evening. They did such an awesome job and we heard a lot of people say, ”Wow…this is a beautiful church or this is such a nice church!” The families of these students where able to enjoy an awesome concert with great Christmas Music and Champion Life Centre was able to show them our hospitality and heart first hand!

Well there is so much more to come the rest of December and we are looking forward to seeing and feeling God’s love and grace and touch in our lives through it all!

SWEATSHIRT SUNDAY

Sweatshirt Sunday: Bring new sweatshirts for children in our area who are in need.

Join us as we continue the series "A Heart for the House and a Heart for Humanity.” The local church is the hope of the world. It is God’s instrument to reach, equip and build the Kingdom of God. The church is not a building but rather the people of God who come together and unite to experience God’s presence and power to fulfill the purpose of God. We the people make up the body of Christ and together we can make a huge impact in our world!

We are teaming up with the Care ministry and also with local elementary schools in our area to meet some practical needs for kids and families in our community. Sunday December 13 will be Sweatshirt Sunday and we are asking each of you to participate in bringing a package of new underwear for kids. We will continue each week bringing a new clothing item. During service, I will ask you to bring them up and spread your gifts across the stage. Each Sunday will target a specific item:
